Bought a wreck for £95k, now worth £210k after renovation

Bought a 2-bed terrace in Stoke in 2024 for £95k. It was in a state — no kitchen, bathroom from the 1970s, damp in every room, needed full rewiring and replastering.

Spent £62k on a complete renovation over 8 months (did some of the cosmetic work myself). New kitchen, bathroom, rewired, replastered, new windows, full redecoration, landscaped garden.

Just had it valued at £210k. Now renting it out at £795/month while we live in our main home.

Not posting to brag — just to say that renovation projects CAN work out if you budget properly and get reliable tradespeople. Happy to answer questions about the process.
