Is Woolwich actually any good? New builds look tempting

The new builds around Woolwich Arsenal look incredible on paper — modern spec, Elizabeth line on your doorstep, and significantly cheaper than anything further west.

But whenever I mention Woolwich to colleagues they pull a face. Is the area actually improving or is it all just developer marketing?

Anyone living there or bought there recently?
