Moving to Manchester — NQ vs Didsbury vs Chorlton?

Relocating from Birmingham to Manchester for work. Budget is about £350k for a 2/3-bed. Early 30s couple, no kids yet but planning in 2-3 years.

Been looking at three areas but can't decide:

- Northern Quarter / Ancoats — love the vibe, walkable to work, but mostly flats and worried it's all style over substance
- Didsbury — everyone recommends it, seems family-friendly, but feels a bit suburban?
- Chorlton — quirky, good food scene, bit more affordable

What would you choose and why?
